Capsel band injury at the finger

1. Risk kinds of sport:

Kinds of ball playing sport or kinds of sport with direct opponent contact (e.g. Judo)

2. Anatomy:

Hinge joints, stabilizes by cap volume apparatus.

3. Function:

Diffraction/aspect ratio

4. Injury mechanism:

- sudden overstretching of the finger joints (by ball)
- Fall on stretched fingers/“getting stuck” the finger

5. Symptoms:

- Swelling
- Pressure pain
- Movement pain

6. First measures:

- Immobilizing
- Cooling concerned the range (with it do not put the ice directly on the skin)

7. Diagnostics:

- Clinical diagnosis by the physician to exclude (Roentgen around german types/or Luxationen with german types)

8. Therapy: (Caution, frequently lengthily!!!)

a) Conservative therapy
- Immobilizing by Tape or rail occasionally gypsum immobilizing necessarily
- Antiphlogistika
- decongestant measures
b) Operational therapy
- with bony or jointnear fractures peeled off and with band injuries at the thumb saddle joint (“ski thumb”) occasionally necessarily

9. Physiotherapie/rehablitation:

- Patient gymnastic (Mobilization) after completion of immobilizing
- Electrical therapy

10. Prevention:

- Co-ordination and technique training
- Support of the capsule band apparatus by taping the joint
- Avoidance of overstretching attitude
